Summer Best serves on multiple voluntary boards, committees and service organizations in Alachua County and Ocala/Marion County, Fla.
She is a fifth-generation Floridian and a 1999 graduate of the University of Florida (Bachelor of Science in Journalism), and a 2015 graduate (Master of Arts in Mass Communication). Summer’s main teaching projects and techniques have revolved around senior-level students in RTV 4931, Problems/Ethics in Telecommunication, as well as JOU 4700, Problems and Ethics in Journalism, at the University of Florida from 2012-2014.
Summer currently manages a daily portfolio of work that includes interviewing, writing, photography and videography, event management, and a full gamut of multimedia editing and production — all with strict attention to detail and audience engagement.
Her main PR client is Sholom Park, a 44-acre privately-owned horticultural paradise in Ocala.
